Sales Thoughts: Using of Elements of “Sales Thoughts” in Non Sales Situations – 3 Key Points!

I have heard from a number of you who are not in Sales but read the blog.  The general question has been along the lines of: “I am not in Direct Sales, but it seems that I am always Selling.  What advice do you have for people in his situation?”

My advice has been to remember that in working with a Customer or Prospect, there are 3 things to consider:

1.  Relationship – How you provide Positive Influence in the Relationship with your Prospect or (Hopefully) Soon to be Customer?

2.  RoadMap/Revenue – Whether you are selling a small product now or have an idea about selling more products to this Customer, do you have a plan to make it happen?

3.  Customer Success – What will you do to ensure that this Customer will properly use your Product and have long Term Success?

These 3 Questions represent ares or Elements that you You may be an impact.  Think about all of them as it relates to The Impact you Can have.  By the way, “Its not my job” are 4 Words that will ensure You and Your Company Will NOT be successful as it relates to these 3 Elements!
